Looks like that synthdiesel would work well at the track - has about 25% more energy content than #2, and the candy smell should help keep the nitro from making your eyes water.

Well, they list 20,XXX BTU/lb., and #2 is ~8lbs/gal, so the synth would be in the 160K BTU/gal range, which is roughly 25% more than #2 average of ~130K BTU/gal.

The nitromethane, of course, is optional - but very effective.

Why is that race fuel cheaper than what you pay at the pump? Is it because it is intended for off road use only hand has no road tax? I wonder if you could get away with running that all the time.

Sunoco makes it from coal using the GTL process. They were down last year for the Texas Nationals at HRP. Giving away 5 gallons per person.

Showing my age, but did Sunoco pump it from a "White Pump?"

Don't know. I only talked to the reps and didn't see their setup.

So one should be able to make up to 25% more power with this fuel than #2 using the stock cp3 and injectors? That sounds interesting. It says it contains no sulfur, would you have to use an additive to provide lube?

It doesn't make 25% more power.... maybe about 1% for the syn.

If it has 25% more energy content per pound than #2 it would seem like it would require XX% less fuel volume than #2 to produce the same power. The stock CP3 and injectors could produce XX% more power before needing to upgraded. I'm not saying that is the way it is, but that's what it sounds like it could be and if it was that would be great, just would like more info on this stuff.
