I can't speak for everyone, but I'm more interested in "high flow" mufflers for the reduction in EGT's than I am performance.

I agree with Hoss the main reason for changing to the performance exhaust is reduction of EGTs. The added performance is also welcome even though it may be small.

That's great! I'm just wondering how quite it is...compairable to stock, just a little louder at idle, etc? Could you describe the sound at idle, cruise, normal acceleration, and full throttle?

How about EGT's? If you have gauges, how much did the avg temp drop?

EGTS, have lowered maybe a 100 or so, wot is not in your face, just a great sound, mellow and rich, had three systems on my 01 and was never happy,,,,at first Hogs sound a little weak but after some good old smoke she sounded perfect, i have the 5.5 tip on the 4 was weak,,, sound stock......

Hoss...it is the same exhaust on both 03-04. The exit of the "offset" mufler lines up with the down pipe. On the OEM system, the mid pipe snakes down to the "lowered" inlet of the offsett muffler. Crawl back down there and take anopther closer look.

Is there any drone? Sounds like it's not much louder that stock, which is what I'm looking for. I espically do not want any drone in the cab.

a small amout of drone, when you get after it you know and everyone else does too there is a bad @$$ Cummins a comin, I am 51 with some hearing loss..... off all the trucks I have been in this system is great,,, JMO

Thanks for the details. I think I'll stick with the 51" Donaldson or Nelsen...I hear all too well. Any drone at all gives me a splitting headache...
