Well I put the 51" Donaldson on yesterday. It is one big muffler under the truck. It did take away the interior noise to an acceptable level for me. It is still load outside of the truck but not unreasonable. I will drive with this for now and see how I like it. It does feel a little less responsive right from a stop. I should be able to check mileage on the next tank or so and see if anything changed there. This will help having conversations while driving for sure.

oh yes. not to burst any1s bubble but if u have anything bigger than 4" exhaust u r just plain old rich or wasting your money or its for looks. A frikkin c-15 cat can run on 4 " exhaust, i dont know why everyone thinks they need 5-8" exhaust for a 5.9 cummins? Totally for looks. I kept my 04.5 stock 4" exhaust and i just removed cat and muffler and put aero4040xl where cat was. Sounds so good people are pulling me over everywhere and looking underneath. cost me $200 for the setup.

well it does, but look at some diesel engines that are pretty big and use 4 inch: Mack 300, mack 350, International DT 466, Harvester, cat 3176. Nothing wrong with bigger, but anything over 4 inch is overkill/waste of coin. phone and ask cummins yourself.

Still not sure about the 51". I don't want to loose any power with it, but SUUUUREEE would like to get rid of the drone when towing the 5vr. The family comlains about the drone. Especially in back of the megacab.

anyone close to Sacramento or Santa Rosa is welcome to hear mine.

HP wise on the Dyno i just ran numbers actually 8hp up from what i had before the muffler, i did change the exhaust manifold at the same time overall i didnt feel a loss nor did i see any loss on the dyno.
