Quiet 5" Exhaust

Is it possible to put those two words in the same sentence?

Cuz i need a quiet (No drone) 5" exhaust for the 06 in my sig. Mpi twins are on the way...
I dont like the one which exit at 90 degrees, so im looking for something nice (high quality) with a 6" tip.

What brand should i go with?

The pipe is not the concern for noise. The muffler however is. Hushpower is KILLER! NO DRONE WHAT SO EVER. it is spendy but you get what you pay for.

Famous last words...

Thats what I thought as well, and after about 5 different setups finally have a dual muffler setup that has good tone and NO drone even with the stacks.

Anyone got a pic of the interior of a Hushpower?

Their website sucks, and nobody I know stocks them.

I actually had a PSD owner tell me to put a hushpower muffler on my Cummins, they're supposed to sound awesome. I had never even heard of it until then. Then again what do PSD owners know...

I just installed a farmboy diesel 5 inch straight pipe and it is really quite if it had a muffler I think it would be like stock but I like the way it sounds and no drone so far.

how much are the ones from farmboysdiesel? how do they exit in the rear? anyone has pics?

Well PSD should put on the quietest exhausts on too, to not sound so bad...

well actually im having problems liking the CR cummins exhaust too, so maybe thats why we want it quiet... basicly its to lower cab noise

I just installed the same thing. I was fearful that it'd be loud. I was totally wrong. It is much quieter than the stock 4" with straighthru Nelson 41" muff. I don't know why but it is really a deep smooth tone. No drone at all.

btw- I'm VERY surprised this thread hasn't been closed due to mention of the place where you bought this 5"... Lary does NOT like that guy for whatever reason (he didn't tell me exactly why).

I just put on a donaldson 51" muffler and it is slightly louder that stock, but it does not have any back pressure and that was the point.

12 valve just call farmboy diesel they'll get you hooked up and it also gets rid of the ugly CR exhaust sound and changes it to just a nice deep tone I'm very happy with mine.

I just got an email from him, price is right too. how does it exit at the rear? anyone got a pic? truck smokes very much, and right now the side gets very black from all the soot...

also, where can i find a 6" black chrome tip with a 5" inlet to slide on?
The truck has 20" black & chrome wheels, so i think it'd look cool.
