I think you are referring to the tune that is loaded into your Smarty right now. I am not sure what tune that is. Maybe it is an older tune. I know if I download the current tunes from the Madselectronics website, which are numbered like 4.11....2.11, those are the numbers I see when I first plug the tuner in. After getting the 4.4 beta, it says 4.44......(I forgot the other numbers).

For having a nice flowing exhaust like you do, I would say the 4.11 would be awesome. I think that if your trans is stock, keep the levels down to like 3 or something (just repeating what I have read here, I don't have a 48re).

You will love the 4.11 tunes, great power and super cool EGT's.

I'd use the aftermarket turbo version....that way you get boost fooling....agree with staying level 3 on the power to protect the auto trans....

Stock injectors aftermarket turbo program?
4.11B, Data: 1.11B
Stock torque management

I will be leaving on 3 and will most likely go to 1 when towing to protect trans.

The Jr however goes to 100HP and is considered safe though right? I drive like an old man for the most part so really its not like I care all that much....i think

Whats the difference in tq management? I am guessing delivery?

Thanks guys

Personally, when i had a stock trans...i used level 3, mild tq mgmt, aftermarket turbo, stock injectors....

Stock Tq Mgmt Stinks IMHO....and no, i dont think 100hp is safe for the stock trans....but depends upon your level of conservatism....a mildly driven 100hp should be fine.

Tq Mgmt = throttle sensitivity / low end fueling/power.......less tq mgmt = big block 454 feeling

Hey thanks for the input. I appreciate it.

Its funny when I bought this truck I said thats it I am done messing with these things and throwing money at them. Well guess what? Seems as though I cant stop.

I will say that when i had the Fords "Black beauty" not included I always laughed when guys would say welcome to PMS to someone. PMS meaning Powerstroke Modding Syndrome.

Wonder what it should be referred to w/ the Dodge?

Now I have this Smarty and am realizing the tip of potential on this truck and wondering where its going to end....Looks like at some point the trans will need to be addressed if i am going to take advantage of this smarty

I agree. Trans is a must. Then you can use the upper torque management levels. That's where the Smarty really shines.
