Question on running AFtermarket turbo program on Smarty
I bought my Smarty 2nd hand from a guy and he had it on an aftermarket program and said that I should leave it on there. I then read on the Mads Elec. sight that this was not a good idea. My truck is an 07 Quad 4x4 6 spd. that is all stock minus straight exhaust. What do you guys think. I just updated it from the one it had (forgot to look at the exact program) to the last one on the stock turbo and injector section. Gonna go DL it on the truck and will get back to you guys in a bit. See what ya'll think in the meantime.
thanks

You can run the aftermarket turbo program. Just keep an eye on the max boost pressure.
I'm running the stock injector/aftermarket turbo program with the stock turbo and it's fine.

Depends on other mods, but normally you should get better efficiency with the version that matches your real mods. There are always variances that can be accomplished that may make more power, but not necessarily better efficiency.

Yeah, I see what ur saying. I know with my truck, on the aftermarket turbo program, I can run to the max and the egt's never go pass 1250 degrees. Where on the stock turbo program, it could hit 1500 to 1600 degrees with ease, but I never really tuned into the power difference.
