Question on Edge Juice programmer setup

I just installed the Edge Juice w/Attitude tonight....what a diiference. I was wondering what you guys set the boost level at to alarm or what it is rated for, I have the EGTs set for 1375 degrees (too HIGH/ too low?). Any info greatly appreciated.

I've never heard of anyone getting too much boost with just the juice and attitude. i just set mine up to 45 or so and let it be. 1400 is about as hot as you want to get, so your probably good at 1375 for egt's.

When going WOT I can hit 43 on the attitude monitor. I will be hooking up an actual gauge soon to compare the two. Since I only hit that level for a very short period I have my alarm set to 45 I think. I think 1375 on the EGT's is fine.

I set my egt alarm at 1250. If you drilled the probe where edge says to your exhaust temps can read around 100 to 150 degrees lower than they actually are. I think sustained high egt's is what you're trying to avoid.

I used to have my boost set at maybe 35 or something. After tons of trips with the trailer I've found that 40 or so is much better at allowing me to keep my speed on the hills. Also you get tired of hereing the thing chirp
Somebody who remembers what the # is will probably let you know that the turbo is out of it's efficiency range at that high of boost. That's fine those extra couple numbers do help though.

I think it is said pretty much across the board that on a stock head gasket and stock studs you are safe to about 45-50 pounds of boost maybe a lil' more, but I definitely wouldn't be comfortable going over 45.

I would set it it like those guys said 45psi and 1350 but I will say I hit 52psi when I had my hot juice It works really good on the bottom end compared to the regular juice.

Was that 52 psi read from the Attitude or from your gauges?

I have all my settings up as high as I can get them and when I go to the track I turn the defueling set-up off altogether. Egts can be a problem sometimes but your never in the throttle long enough for it to be there very long. As for the boost numbers I think you will be fine with the stock head gasket and bolts. I have my turbo wastegated at around 55psi and still no problems with anything, and I know I am putting alot more volumeof air in there than ths stock turbo. You should be fine with no trips to the track or sledpuling but will be missing alot of the top end power that the edge does the best as it don't do alot in the lower rpm's.
