Question about Xillaraider 2 and upgrading old commander to scout/pulse

I currently have a Smarty, Xillaraider 2 that I use for pressure only, and an older commander, also with the older flaky fuel pressure sensor.

My question is, I would like to replace the flaky fuel pressure sensor with the newer transducer version, but i'm not sure if the older commander will work with it.

I've also been eyeballing the new Scout and the Pulse V2 since they allow you to monitor a few other new things, but will either of these new controllers work with the Xillaraider 2? I looked on their site and they only mention the adrenaline with the pulse, but i'm not ready to upgrade to the adrenaline yet for $$ reasons.

So...i'm trying to consider two options if they are viable

1) I can stick with my current commander and just upgrade to the newer transducer - if it supports it

2) Can I upgrade to either the new Scout or the Pulse v2 and still use my Xillaraider 2 ?

Thanks in advance!

I would like to know this as well. I am in the identical situation as you. I have an X2 Race with the pressure only stack tune and an old Commander with the fried FP sender. I wouldn't mind replacing it with Scout or Pulse if it will control the X2 as well and has the FP option.

I called a while back. I have the latest fuel pressure unit on my older commander unit. I'm not sure if that's the transponder unit or not, but it's working.

Quad told me that there was no "upgrade" to the pulse or scout. They would not do a trade in from the old commander to the new units, you will have to buy it outright. Also the pulse can only control the adrenline unit, it does not support the older X2s. But you could use the control pod if you wanted to have two seperate units.

So I still have the older commander unit.

thanks Tesla, 'preciate the info. I don't mind spending the $$ to upgrade to the pulse but thats a real shame it doesn't support the X2. For me there's not really any advantage to going to the adrenaline since all i use the x2 for is pressure that is adjustable on the fly. i have my smarty for the real power. I just don't see the adrenaline doing better than the smarty but i'd like to hear it if anyone disagrees.
