Question about stacking Smarty & XZT

Was thinking it could be done and if so, can I have them both plugged in and then change the tune on the Smarty and still leave the XZT still plugged in? Also was wondering if having the XZT stacked with a the Smarty with a timing based setting like #3 or #5 does it increase the timing even more, since the XZT has timing in it? I will probably wait to do it until I get some guages. Its scary when you don't know how your motor is reacting to more fuel, timing, etc. And on top of that the truck really needs an aftermarket intake now, so here I go again with going crazy on a 3rd Gen. I couldn't stop when I had my 12V doing injectors, Piers HX40, Southbend FE, head, timing, etc.

I want to note that I pulled my XZT off my truck after having it on for 15,000 miles and it was a night and day difference and couldn't believe I put the first 10,000 miles on my truck without it and when I uploaded the Smarty on #3 to my truck which was a 60hp setting with timing, it was night and day difference over the XZT 65hp. #3 sure smokes like crazy on my truck, almost as bad as my old 12valve when I put 370 injectors in it and a #10 plate slid up a bit.

And #3 sure has some timing in it being able to hear the cackle. Does #5 have even more timing then #3?

Don't stack without gauges man.

Definitely don't stack two timing devices together, unless you know it's been proven/tested by others. Too much timing can be a silent killer!

You can change programs with the Smarty while the XZT is plugged in.

You can stack them, but i would think you should use the even numbers on the smarty so you dont' add double the timing and i wouldn't do it with gauges for sure. I hear that the adjustable module (quad) stacked with the smarty is a really good stack, but none the less you should have gauges cause even with just the smarty i hear things can get toasty.

I'm currenlty running the smarty on level 3 and keep the romping of the skinny pedal to short burts till my commander gets here. Which I just found out got delievered today!!

Good luck!
