For some reason my signature sometimes shows up and like now doesn't show (I'm editing it cause now my sig show up). I have a 2006 2500HD SLT Mega Cab. I drive 5.9 miles four times a day (hwy.) which equals to 23.6 miles and I drive about 10 miles a day in the city. These are mixed to and from my work. I'm not sure about when the smarty, I have a crown to pay for in mid October.

After 50-years in Dallas I don't miss it much for summer temps and for suburban traffic. Our joke was that anything north of Northwest Highway was too far, and anything north of IH-635/LBJ was southern Oklahoma.
Now, to specifics: Is there an alternate route -- even longer -- that involves fewer stops? I'd choose it in a heartbeat as 5.6-miles is too short for even a half-a warmup.
I'd consider spending money on using the block heater, and adding silicone pad heaters (KAT) to engine and trans oil pans, plus to rear axle. Set it on a timer so as not to cook oil. This would do more than any tuner on a short commute. Year-round.

I drive to most direct route to and from work. Live in Frisco and work in Prosper, hwy 289 (Preston Rd.) is a straight shot to Prosper w/ a side trip to take my daughter to pre-k. That 5.9 miles is driving at 55 to 60 mph.

Even driving a big truck -- loaded -- it would take 40-50 miles for the trans and rear end oil to come to op temp.
The lag time of engine oil behind coolant temp (the second reason for the big CTD oil cooler built in) is the other reason I would strongly consider pre-heating lube fluids.
Frisco . . when I was a kid the old man would hit 90+ leaving near North Dallas on 289 at about Spring Valley Road (city limit) in one of his Buicks or Cadillacs. Your "town" was a 4-way with a fruit stand, about the only stop on the way to Eisenhower on Texoma. We'd do that 75-miles in well under 1-hour. The 55-mph speed limit took the fun out of it once I was in high school.

Yeah, the 19.1 was a whopper for the tank. The lie o meter hit 27.2 at it's peak, which is the highest yet for that function (before that stretch of road was 25.2). I ran 370mls on the first half of the tank. The second half was all dfw running city/hwy. I shoulda filled up after the highway to see just how she ran. But I was tired and didn't want to stop. I'm certain I was over 20. I've hit that before on that stretch of road.
I had hoped to switch the tune out from city to the normal tune so I could stretch her legs on the highway and see what it'd peak at for my normal runs. But Quad doesn't work with the Windows 7 OS that I have on my laptop so I couldn't swap it out before my trip

I just picked one of these up really cheap. I'm gonna stack it with my Van Aaken duration box and see if mileage goes up any. Throttle response should be better for sure. Quad's stuff always stacks good with the VA stuff but I'm not too sure I'll see an increase when the VA is already giving me a 1 mpg gain...

15.7mpg
Still using city tune. Want to switch to the mpg tune (that targets the hwy rpm range) but hesitant because I want to get a full annual test on the city tune for the entire year & weather/temps.

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
You went from a best of 19.1 down to 13.4? I know you have averaged around 16 but that 13.4 sucks!
I must never get winter fuel here because my mileage barely drops in the winter and that is probably because I let it idle more.
