Quadzilla Commander vs Gauges & AirDog/FASS

So guys... two questions.

First: When I can afford some gauges to check things out, should I get a Fuel gauge (pre rail pump), EGT and Boost gauge trio from someplace like Gino's, or should I get the Quadzilla Commander with the fuel pressure kit ? I think it's down to those two options. They are both right around the same price point (through Gino's anyway) -- but the commander will monitor a bit more, but it's not as nice (IMO) as normal analog gauges (quality ones, like the high end AutoMeter gauges)

Second: I have six brand new injectors (installed this week). I've seen other threads on this, but should I use a FASS or AirDog setup, or perhaps something cheaper/simpler is available "for now" to protect the new injectors better than the stock fuel filter (using Fleetguard Premium). ?

I will possibly have money for either a Fass/AirDog *OR* Gauges in two months or so.... which is first? Either is a stretch though, so is there a cheaper option?

Thanks...

The first thing I got for my truck was the 2-micron filter setup and big line kit from GDP, I think it can be had for around $200. The next thing I bought was the LP fuel pressure gauge, and then the boost, EGT, oil pressure and water temperature gauges.

I’d recommend what I did if you want to protect those sticks ASAP and keep a budget. I might look at the FASS/AirDog myself after a few miles.

X2 on Gdp, Richard always answers the phone. He can answer any questions and he's not a hard sell or anything.
It's unfortunate that Dodge absolutely won't warranty any motor work against water or debris-and that our CR engines are so vulnerable to any kind of debris. Definetely get some better filtering (and bigger, better lift pump if you are planning on performance) The only thing the stock system has going for it is the fuel heating and water in fuel sensor (lotta people says it doesn't report water very well) I just had the crXXp scared out of me for the water in fuel thing, I changed all my filters. Seems OK. Heard some advice that sounds good, when you get a fuel water seperater (or use the stock filter drain) drain it often and LOOK and see if there is any water.
Here is a interesting link regarding diesel fuel filtering for CR

For lift pump I got the GDP fuel boss, it's kinda new, and it's mechanical and runs off a little pulley mounted off the harmonic balancer. Cool thing about it is that it increases FP as RPM increases-when you need it-not at idle (like electric pumps) JMHO!

As far as the 2 micron filter setup from GDP goes (with the big line kit), that won't stress the hell out of the lift or rail pumps ? I just don't want to kill them while I'm at it....
Since I go pick up my truck tomorrow, I have no idea if the APPS is below my intake or not. Is it standard for an 03 HO to have it there?

Thanks, I'll check them out!..
