Quadzilla Box v SP Diesel Box..
Hey guys,
Just when I was ready to press the "checkout" button to buy the Quadzilla standard box, a fellow forumite suggested to look at the SP Diesel box. I had a look at their website and it sounds impressive, listing many features that the Quad box doesnt have like integrated display, economy mode etc. Are these real advantages or simply marketing gimicks?
I'd appreciate some advice and thoughts comparing the two.
Cheers,
Batts

I have no experience with their new chips, but I had their older "Eliminator" almost a year ago and I went through nightmares with two seperate boxes. After the PITA of dealing with the company, I will not do business with them again. It sucks because they are fairly local to me.
Quad has proven time and time again on this board that he supports his customers.

I have had nothing but good experiences with SP. I've got there Stage IIe stacked on a TST at the moment and the power combination kicks ***. I went with SP because of the integrated high pressure fuel rail gauge, there the only one out there that shows you the actual pressure at the rail.
Out of curiousity I tried a Quad XZT the other day that my buddy owns and my truck would not run worth a darn when stacked with the TST, it threw every code in the book.

I bought there turbotimer, I like there product, but there customer support is terrible one of the worst I have ever dealt with. I will never buy there product again just cause I dont want to deal with them. I would stay away, I was lucky I didnt have a problem with my item. Hope this helps

Yeah, don't stack one of our boxes with a TST unless we have put a special program on it.
Stacking duration+timing with Duration+timing does not work all that well.

Quad, not sure what you mean, unless I have the wrong product name. This box plugged into the rail pressure sensor and boost sensor. So your box is adjusting timing and duration at idle, and that is why it was throwing codes? and how does it affect timing other then adding pressure?

There is no reason it sould throw a code at idle. No matter what you stack.
Yes we alter timing and duration using those 2 plugs. Not as much as the other boxes. There have been many experiences of people trying to stack it with the TST even though we say it won't work.
It affects timing up to 6 degress advance at full boost.
If you got codes at idle you either plugged it up wrong or broke it or did something funny. There are too many people plugging them in without any codes for that to be the case. I find it funny that someone that works with another manufacture has such a problem installing something so simple. I can plug other products in and they work fine.

I am very happy with my SP IIe box. I had the Eliminator and while I was talking with one of the SP guys about it (didn't ahve a problem, just a question), he recommended an upgrade to the newer product. It's been running great. My customer service experience with them has been pretty good and they were willing to chat and answer all of my questions and helped me feel confident in their product.

I have the new SP box, I just installed last month and have had no issues out of so far other than do not use HO mode unless you meen it! wayyy too much power for a stock truck.
I like how it is very compact and in a single unit it is only somthing like 2x3 inches square so you can hide it if you want.
My truck has been made into a wrecker and is probably the fastest tow truck in town that even smokes the little ricer kids while towing a car!
