Quads new rail pressure guage installed
I am very pleased with the new rail pressure guage from Quadzilla. Very easy install and very cool display. It is interesting to see torque management in action. Every shift you can see rail pressure drop 2-3000psi. I guess that is torque managment working...?
Anyhow, I'm seeing 4800psi at idle in gear and the max number I've seen so far is 16000psi. I was in heavy traffic all day yesterday. Today I'm going to get her on the highway and check some pressures.
For the price, this thing rocks...

You do have the Rail Pressure gauge plugged in first right? If not it will never read right?
I would say that 6000-7000 is normal at idle but, I have seen a lot of trucks with lower idle pressures. Usually they have a downloader!
You might uninstall the downloader later and see if the pressure changes.

I can do that, but she runs so good now, why bother...?... Unless I'm hurting something???
btw- I can't get my pics to download here. They are on another "cummins" site...

I thought you had the XZT plugged in as well!
It is probably not hurting anything but, it is odd to be that low on a 600 truck. I have seen it so it is not unheard of but, it sounds like Diablo might be doing stuff even at idle? Maybe so they can fuel harder and have a smooth idle?

Quad, I do have the xzt plugged in as always... ??? The only time I take it off I use the bypass plug... Am I missing something here...? XZT doesn't plug into rail pressure sensor... does it? Even so, I have the new guage hooked up right at the sensor then whatever else is plugged in after... Let me know if this is correct...? I'm losing it now...
