Quad XZT Tow Box ????'s
I'm looking at the Quadzilla XZT for my truck to give it a little more UMPH! in the towing department.
My questions are:
1) What's the stock rail pressures @ idle, 1/2 throttle and WOT?
2) What are they with the XZT @ idle, 1/2 throttle and WOT?
3) Are these pressures safe for injectors ?
4) Anyone put more than 100K miles on their truck with this box? If so were there any issues?
5) What are your impressions of the performance of this box ?
Thanks for the info.
My truck is a 05, QC, 4x4, automatic, stock. Oh yes I have gauges.

DTR's 'Go to Guy'
From what I have seen on my Commander, the rail pressure is no increase at idle, around 1k at 1/2 throttle, and around 1500-2250 at full throttle. I have the standard module, and these readings were on level 3. So my level 2 readings would be comparable to the XZT and IIRC they were less than level 3 obviously, but I think they were about 500 less at 1/2 and full. Same at idle on all 3 settings. Go for the standard or race. You'll never have enough! I am already looking to upgrade! Have about 20k with the box, 145k on the truck.

DTR's 'Go to Guy'
Haven't had any problems with mine. Gotta have some sense when driving too! I'm sure if you mashed the skinny pedal everywhere you go, yeah, you'll have some problems, but I use mine on level 2 daily and 3 when I wanna smoke the ricer next to me! LOL Gained about 2mph if I can keep my foot out of it!

One thing I did not ask was concerning EGT's. My truck with a 8000lb travel trailer will get to 1350* going up some of our mountians here in Weat Virginia.
Will that make it worse or what with this box?

i have had quad's xzt on my truck for nearly 40k miles
the truck just turned 79Kmiles, i have had no issues
love the extra power,
I pull 15k lbs load on regular basis. keeping the egts less than 1200 isn't problem.
I can push it past thatmark if i wanted to but if i keep my foot out of it a little the egts are fine.
you will love it. it isn't the biggest baddest power box on the market but it sure gets the street racers attention when they try to pass me.

Remember that you must add a "0" to those numbers he quoted you.
That box is probably as safe as they come since it's designed for trucks that tow. I think the only guage you will need to watch is the EGT guage but still you should be fine...

I have had my Quad "tow" box on for 1 trip toying the 12K# toy hauler and about 800 miles so far. I am basically stock other than a torque tube and PG7 filter. The truck now feels responsive. It really helped the towing and seems to really kick in when boost starts to hit above 15psi. It just keeps pulling and boosting. The thing I did notice is that my water temp seems to vary from 190 to 210 pretty consistently as I tow, temp outside and depending on the hill. I only have a boost guage so far and hope to get the Quad recon guage very soon.

I have the XZT and Commander and the XZT makes a big difference empty and towing. I just came back from a 5 hr trip towing an 18' tandem heavy car hauler with Sportsman 800 quad and a Rhino and was playing with it on a long hill, mashed the pedal with the chip on and had lots of power and egt's went to 1480 so I backed out. Turned chip off and mashed it and not near the power and egt's never went over 1250. I can never go back to stock!
