quad xzt installed

quad xzt installed
Finally decided on a chip and I'm really happy with the xzt. Since putting the xzt on I haven't noticed any change in the engine noise except maybe a bit when accelerating hard but that's normal for a chip with extra timing I think.
This chip seems to make my truck run like it should of from factory. The power is very smooth and the tranny shifts are way smoother and quicker than before. Not sure why but the driveability as a whole has improved 100%. For guys wondering about the power increase with only 65 horse it makes a big difference - tire spin from 3/4 throttle take offs
I bought it more for towing and I can't wait to see how much it helps but with the truck empty I am very happy with it. I'm hoping for a mileage gain too but I haven't had it long enough yet to know but I won't be surprised to see an increase as I don't have to use nearly as much throttle to accelerate now. And I don't have to worry as much about my tranny since I don't have a switch or program to "turn it way up" and wreck stuff. It would be way too tempting for me
btw my truck is an 04 auto 305 hp.

Without gauges I would be careful towing. I just installed an XZT on a 06 truck and mashing the throttle will bring those EGT's right up to where you would want to back out of the throttle. This was without a load, with a load the EGT's would climb faster and higher.

i thought it was adjustable... but after getting off the phone with quadzilla its only adjustable if you add the commander. running a switch wont change the power levels, just change the color of the led... ****.

No it's not adjustable but it makes the truck run so much better at 65 hp without being too much for the tranny so a switch would be a waste since it would probably never get turned off.
