anyone know why my quad box has 10 positions on the dial switch?
its a standard adjustable box from 2005

I have a quad standard on my 04 it has 4 positions, never heard of 10. BTW I just tried a Smarty Jr. after listen to all the rave reviews. In my opinion they both produce amounts of power, and the quad can be adjusted on the fly. I returned within the 30 day period.

 

I believe the switch has 10 positions (it's the switch) however your quad should only have the 4, the other 6 arn't used in that application. Again switch is for all kinds of things

 

The switch is a multi position switch, there is a little washer thing that goes on the end of the switch that, in your cae has moved to another position. I had the same thing happen when I installed my box. I called Quad and they walked me thru it. Just remove the switch and there is a little washer, may have fallen off, between the **** and the base of the switch, mine fell off when I took the **** off so I just pushed it back on, but when put in different positions it change the switch to 2,4,6,8, or 10 positions.
