just ordered a quad recon guage set this wek for christmas when i was ordering it said that on dodge cummins i had to buy the fuel pressure unit i did not because i never heard of this before do i need to buy the fuel press sensor if i want to monitor the trans temp with my recon and get a fuel pressure gauge later on

Only when you're ready for it. The XZT doesn't need it to work.

Right ^ . You just won't be able to read lift pump pressure until you buy the additional kit. You will still read rail pressure though, as well as all the other readings.

i did not buy the quad fuel pressure one i just got the one that reads egt boost and trans temp with optional fuel pressure i can use this to view my trans temp tho correct the site i bought it from made it sound like u cant monitor trans temp with it you had to buy the optional fuel pressure sensor instead .

According to the web page, the Recon reads EGTs, boost, and tranny temp straight from the factory. You can add fuel pressure with the add-on kit, but you lose tranny temp. Clear?

yes thats what i thought all along but according to lagunaspeed.com on dodge cummins you must purchase fuel pressure sensor but will see when it gets here but should be good
