Here’s my story, I’ll try to be brief. Running Level 5 pretty hard, no over revs or excessive EGT’s, just hammering down (non towing), and noticed a noise in the high end of the RPMS. The best way to describe the noise is….It sounded like valves rattling on a gasser.

Day or two latter, hammering down once again, same thing happened, and now sounds bad at idle.

Unplugged Race Box……
Adjusted Valves….. (Nothing out of whack)
Check codes…P0191

Now, after saying all of that, I have this same rattle/ping/tick whatever sound all the time…at idle, while running, especially under load, not to bad when coasting and holding the RPMS.

I’m currently running PS and Seafoam in this tank hoping to clear it out (assuming carbon build up). Any other thoughts on what this could be? Injectors (which are stock), valve seats, injector timing???, anything else to look for.

 

level 6? what tune is this the new x2 like what I have mine only has 5 levels. Probably more along the lines of injector rattle. Run some good injector cleaner through it and clean them up a bit see if it goes away.

 

Sorry bout that, Level 5 is correct . Also, I'm currently running PS and Sea Foam, doesn't seem to be clearing up. Wonder if I damaged something?

 

Making any oil? Hard Starts? Idle funny besides noise maybe a miss? Could be solenoid sticking.

 

Not making any oil (thank goodness), Starts good, no miss. A little white smoke at startup, always had that.

A few weeks back I replaced the FCA (surging, hard start issue). Fixed

Solenoid??? What Solenoid??? Tell me more.

Rollin 64k miles to date. I realize these things make noise, I love it . Its the strange noises that bother me. Maybe no issue at all. Hoping this tank of additivies will clear it up and problem solved. If not, back to square one...................
