Quad fuel pressure banjo bolt and Glacier Diesel Big Line + Filter Kit

All this dirty fuel and trashed injectors talk has scared me into buy the Glacier Diesel Power's Micro-Kleen System (2-micron) + Big Line Combo for my '06. My question is, will this kit allow me to retain my fuel pressure sending unit that Quad sells with his Commander?

For thos that don't know how it Quads sensor taps the fuel line, it uses a new banjo bolt that replaces the factory banjo bolt at the high-pressure pump.

Thanks!

I think you're gonna have to wait to get Rich's kit. I seem to remember talking to him and he said he used banjo bolts that had larger openings. Don't know if this will be the case, but keep us informed...

Oh, gotcha.

So, if I go ahead and install Rich's kit I'd have to remove my fuel pressure sensor. Can I add the pressure sensor somewhere else? Don't some put it on the stock fuel filter housing lid? I'd really like to keep the fuel pressure gauge operable.

Does the actual sensor un-screw from the banjo bolt?

Yep. The sensor threads into the top of the banjo bolt.

You will install an adapter between the filter and cp3 that will accept the sender. (Be sure to tell Rich you need to install a fp guage when you order)
I installed the glacier kit (Great job Rich!) and eliminated the stock fuel filter.(I will be istalling a by-pass oil filter where to stock ff used to be)
I plan to get the Commander setup soon.

Richard,

Thanks for chiming in here. I'll be placing my order on-line. Do I need to specify anything special to get the tapped tee?

Well my kit arrived today and it looks really nice. It looks like it will be really easy to install, also. I got the mounting ear drilled and tapped and the filter head and mount assembled on my lunch break, after grubbing on some Arby's. The rest should go on pretty easy, just need to find the time to do it. Thanks again Richard!
