quad box put on and clean PICS,,,,finally
Hello to the board! I have been a 2x CTD owner and love the package. I have finally got around to posting some in progress pics. I just installed a 0-70-100 quad switch box I found on ebay. It makes quite a difference. I always run on the middle setting and when feeling punchy I switch it up to the 100 setting. I cant seem to get over the fact that I can roast the tires on a 6000#, four door rig and get 20+ combo mpg's!! I also put powdercoated front and rear bumpers along with a painted grill shell. I am headed for an industrial look on the truck. I still need to put some powdercoated 20's and remove the rear overload spring. Thanks to all for the insights and ideas for this great truck.

Don't trust that lie-o-meter that resides above your rear view.. Theres a reason people hand calculate mileage on here. You may be getting close to 20, or even a little more, but for the most part they are totally wrong.
Half the time my 05 reads 26+, yet I usually get about 500 miles per tank combo city+highway. That's only about 16.5mpg.

Basically you sand or sandblast the chrome off then prime and paint or powder coat. As you can tell I already have the same idea (he stole my look but I was going a step futher- I won't say until I get it done and yes I do my own prep/painting)

Is the Quad Box you are talking about...the old black aluminum box with gold plates on the side? Hooks up to the timing sensor? If so that was ...IMO the best box for the 03'.
