quad box
I installed my new 0-30-60-100 box from Quadzilla and it didn't work. After calling they sent me a new harness overnight delivery.(Good service) I reinstalled on Fri. after a few test runs in all settings I set it on 30 and took a 700 mile run this weekend I was happy to see that after running 75-80mph. with the AC on I still got 22.8 mpg. for the ave. hand calculated. I'm very happy with the Quad now that it works.

75-80mph and you claim 22.8 hand calc? I have to question those numbers to be honest. As soon as these trucks get over 70-72mph, the mpg starts plummeting. I just can't imagine sustained 75-80mph in a 4x4 doing more than 18mpg.. Please enlighten us on your magic techniques!!

JRW I agree - especially since the final drive ratio on the 6spds actually leave you with a higher crusing rpm than the autos...

I agree - 65-70 gets me awesome mileage. I set the cruise on 65 for a trip to chicago recently and got 22.something with the quad box on, and 21 on the way back without it... Most of the time I am not that patient though, and don't drive for the sake of mpg. Don't quote me on the exact #s because I did it and posted it a while back. I did realize a hand calculated mpg gain with the box on. However being that my truck can get 22mpg at 65mph with synthetic fluids everywhere, and a big exhaust and air intake - I am just a little skeptical to say the least of similar mpg claims from a similar truck doing 75-80mph with the a/c on. Who knows, we could all be wrong and morepower has a magical Cummins, or technique!

I could see him getting that mileage with a good tail-wind relative wind speed and direction has a big effect on these trucks. i had an 03 ,305,555,3:73,six spd. shortbed, srw and I never told anybody about my mileage, because they wouldn't have believed me,I'm talking at 65-70 cruising speed.

mine dose it
I get very easly 22+ when keeping between 65-70, when i switch it to 60 or 100 + setting, i have the race quad, works good on all settings, is great for towing, have to watch the egt on hills though, had to switch it down several times on a big trip, but i also have stock air cleaner, and exhust.

That was my ave. for the entire trip which was 90percent highway and the rest stop and go in Minneapolis. I'm not fudging the numbers. I was getting 21-22 without the box driving 60- 65. Normally just 20-30 mile runs at 60-65 . Believe what you want but I'm Happy. I also try to use only Mobil fuel which seems to give me the best mileage and I run PS and MMO. I also still have the factory Michelins on my truck which aren't very aggressive but help contribute to the good mileage. I do care about mileage thats one reason I got rid of the Hemi and bought a Cummins. The other being that the Cummins makes incredible power. Now don't get me wrong I love the way these trucks look when you lift them and put on huge tires(been there done that) but this truck is about getting reasonable mileage without driving a little toy vehicle. I haven't had a chance to see what the mileage is going to be for my normal driving yet but I'm betting it will be great.
