Pyro problems.....
I installed a new pricol pyrometer this afternoonand it does not seem to be working. I followed the instructions exactly and did not drop or bump the guage around during installation. The wiring is pretty straightforward and after connecting the thermocouple to the extension wire I have absolutely no reading at the guage. I have checked all conections three times and wonder if I got a faulty guage or could it be the thermocouple. Has anyone else had this problem?

Either pull the thermo coupler and disconnect it from the gauge. attach a voltmeter on the current setting and heat the thermocoupler up and see if the meter changes with it. Or you could just attach the meter to the leads while the engine is cold and get your first reading then crank it up and see if it changes

replacement guage
Thanks for everyones help. I talked to the folks that I purchased the guage from and they are sending me a new one. They seem to think that the guage is defective. Thanks again. everyone......
