Question pyro. before or after turbo

I just ordered my gauges last night. I want to make sure that i put the Egt probe in the right place. I have herd people debating on before and after the turbo.

Should i put the egt probe before or after the turbo?

Are you worried about the probe breaking off and grenading your turbo?? Do you tow big loads?? I have both! Pre-turbo is good for big hp numbers because of wanting to monitor how hot your turbo's getting.. Post is a little safer just add 250-300 if you do post.. Post is also easier.

Pre turbo pyro. The cases of the pyro breaking off an entering the turbo are extremly rare. I know no one personally that this has happened to, and have even heard very few internet stories about it. I have mine pre turbo, for about 35K miles, and zero problems.

Pre turbo is the only way to see how hot the exhaust manifold is getting. Your real concern is your pistions so mount the pyro as close to them as you can get "exhaust manifold". Post turbo guys say just add this or that but wouldnt you rather know??? Unless you are mounting 2 probes go pre turbo for the most accurate readings.

Before the turbo definately. that way you know what temp you are running to the turbo.
