PVC Gauge mount a dud....

PVC gauge mount I was going to do was a flop...Dropped dremel tool...$30 new one...got more cutting discs...$5.99.....Still didn't have proto type.....Nearly cut off finger w/ skilsaw...would have been PRICELESS...lucked out; saw kicked out other direction....I'll let somebody else discover my invention

I still think this is easier:

p.s. don't feel bad about your finger - I was straightening up my under-JoBox parts bins yesterday and just about severed my thumb (OK, maybe not that bad but it was quite the bleeder - would've sewn it up Rambo-style if the sutures weren't gone... at least the SS needle was ready to rock-n-roll)

Just remember - these experiences build character!

But how do you have time to look where your going..if your watching all those gauges all the time?
I like the clean simple/ and un cluttered look, I plan on putting the 3 gauge pod on the A pillar like you have there (Boost/trans temp/ EGT) and that will be more than I should ever really need for my applications any way. To each his/her own though! Anthing more would be too much of a wireing nightmare for starters for me. And something else that will break inevitably.

Honestly it's really easy to monitor the guages once your used to them. Most of the time your looking for what's the most important. WOT run I am looking at boost, FP and Rail pressure then egt's once it peaks... They are all right there and if you know your limits your just looking at the needle and it's position anyways..

It sure is evident he works in the aviation field! Everything is a class act install!! Switches and lights and guages. Once a pilot/A&P tech always a pilot/A&P tech.

That's what a co-pilot is for. When all gauges need monitoring, you have an extra set of eyes to watch some of the gauges for you.
