Through the CP3, via 2 lines instead of one, more of the "cushioning effect". I guess bleed effect back might be a better description. I'm just asking, I have no idea yet I've had a dual line since they came out and have had zero issues. I still believe the majority of injector issues stem from lack of filtration teamed up with additional pressure.

XLR8R...is that a "nah-nah-anah-nah" I am reading?
Talk about self promoting...jeessssseeeeeeee.
There needs to be a new PRV that takes say 30ksi...that would be perfect.
Is the PRV in an 09 a differrent part number?

If my intent was to belittle those who have experienced parts failure from this issue, it would be readily apparent.
I don't follow your "self-promotion" tangent either - I post on here to disseminate information and offer advice... everyone gets to choose what to do with do each.

Hey how about instead of a new PRV adding a hydraulic dampener. Basically a steel cylinder with a piston and a heavy spring... maybe belleville washers.

Hi
Could some of you CR experts give me a hand or better yet, your knowledge? The CR pressure relief valve has a history of failure. I have been looking on the web for a few days to find out why.
This is what I've heard. (1) The spring weakens and looses its force (2) The seat and poppet become etched (3) The poppet tip breaks off
What have you guys experienced? Have you done any testing on the CR relief valve?
Thanks for helping me out.
Rob

not looking to get called an idiot just looking for info?
I'm going to assume that this self inflicted issue would apply to the 6.7's as well? i have just purchased an H&S mini maxx for my 08 and they reccomend that i buy a fuel rail plug or shim kit if i run their programmer. I wasnt planning on installing a plug and would have a hard time gettin gtalked into it now after reading this thread.
Thanks in advance guys

Don what do you recommend? I see the plug and shim kits or after market relief valves. What is the best option to go with that lasts is dependable and does not shorten injector life.

Sounds like a pilot operated relief valve (miniaturized) rated for 1.5X highest expected pressure would be the ticket. I cannot imagine why anyone would ever even think about disabling or removing a pressure relief device in a high pressure system with flammable liquid involved. The ability to modulate pressure relief would be infinitely easier on the tubes and injectors/nozzles.
