Maybe I'm the idiot, I've got no idea what a pressure is, what it does or where it goes. So I did a search on line. Is this a pressure relief value? And is this a good price?

I wish someone made a quality valve that didn't wear out so fast. Imagine if wastegates failed as quick as these valves do. Air and Fuel are two different things especially when talking about these extreme rail pressures. But how wonderful if you could get a valve meant to open 1000's and 1000's of times before ever wearing out and be tuneable like a wastegate. What a solution to our problem. Set it at your max desirable rail pressure and forget it. Then just keep your cruising RP below 20K and your injectors would love you.

Its Friday afternoon and this weeks count of cracked injector bodies stands at 8. Thats 8 sets with one cracked injector each this time. Counting downtime, lost revenue, repair costs, etc you have quite a bit of cash there.

i have dual feed line and i can say when i lift the truck surges and i think its because the pressure is feeding back down but i am not for sure. where exactly is the relief valve on the rail? is it uder where that line feeds back to the fuel canister? If so i migth be in trouble as that line split and cracked open so we took it off and blocked the hole and now there is no line going back towards the fuel canister.

And I'm glad I don't have to worry about such a high relief. You guys and your dual pumps and large injectors. Hope you like wasting all you money.

We are only talking about rail caps(in place of the PRV) aren't we, not dual feed lines??? I can see capping a rail being a bad idea, but dual lines can at least back flow right? I'm asking the same thing again here as above.

Since dual feed lines that use the PRV port on the rail eliminate the PRV by design, the high-pressure side of the system still has no relief - and I wouldn't rely on diesel's compressibility to cushion pressure spikes from hurting the injector solenoids or tips.
