The rear has the same cap as the front, they clear the axle bolts by about 1/2". The Nittos are 305/70/17 (34x12.50x17). I am on my secound set of 285/70/17's on my 2000 2500 Cummins. They ride and wear better than any other tire I tried on it. The 285's are Load range D & the 305's are E's. I hope the 305's wears as good as the 285's did. The 2000 has been a great tuck I just replaced the lift & injection pumps and am thinking about selling it. I just can't seem to part with it.

305's, that's the size I was interested in, they have a 3600 pound rating, same as my Vortracs but I wanna go a bit smaller than my 35's next time.
Most 315/70 E's are only rated for 3200, (my rear axle was over 7,000 pounds last trip last year).
How many miles did you get outa the 285's?
