Probably very dangerous to the ECMs. Between DCs security and the Programmers security you would be asking for lots of trouble. Not to mention that it is not exactly legal.
Long time ago I used to do some "reverse engineering" on some system/device driver software. That was when it was relatively easy to decompile to assembler or relevant processor code level. That is not so easy today. I am sure it can be done, but not sure how reliable it would be.
