I really like the Smarty. Its very flexible with all the downloads you can get from Marco and Bob. When shipped the Smarty is loaded with mild torque management and the stock injectors program. The smoke on this level was just too much for me.
After speaking with Bob about it and some folks on this site they directed me to download the stock torque management aftermarket injectors program. That did the trick for me. I can still roll a good cloud but I'm not having to be so careful that I don't black out an intersection.
I run SW1 which is a 30hp mileage program. This alone improved my mileage by about 2 mpg and provided me with fueling all the way up to 3500 rpm and made my engine fan quit running at unneeded times. You can also clear codes and should my power requirements change the Smarty can easily keep up.
Right now I can fairly well say that the Smarty will be the only electronic hardware I will ever purchase. Everything else from here on out will probably be hard parts (turbos, clutches etc)

So far I have been impressed with everything I have read about the smarty I am thinking about trading my BD for Smarty. But I like to get everyones opinion before I trade up.

Do what we all do get BOTH and see what runs the BEST on your truck. Not trying to sound but thats what works. I know that both Bully-Dog and SMARTY are working on alot of tunes! And i will run them to get the best POWER

Smarty and Bully Dog should be your only two options, they are both great tuners. I've used both and I would say because of customer support and available tunes, I would choose the Smarty. BD is coming along slowly but surely it looks like.

I have tried alot and I am with Smarty. I have see first hand what it is able to do and the customer service is the best I have worked with. You can't go wrong with the Smarty and all the different power levels and settings you can use.

i don't know how the bully dog works on an '07 but for the '04.5-'05's crazy larry runs really strong and the adjust on the fly allows you to change settings whenever you want without having to go through the download process.
