Problems with MP-8

I just received the MP-8 and installed it but when I first started it the idle surges up and down and it sounds like a lot of pre detonation, that was with the MP-8 at 0%. I then took off my smarty program and returned the CPU to stock thinking maybe the smarty wasn't working with it and the truck idle was still surging up and down with what sounded like a lot of pre detonation, still the MP-8 is at 0%. It threw 5 codes, i think they were throttle position sensor, boost key, water in fuel, something with the cp-3 pump, and i believe one other one. Once i unplugged the MP-8 everything went back to normal

has anybody else run into a problem like this with the MP-8? what do you think the problem is

sounds like you had one of the plugs in backwards be very careful when installing the harness due to the plug will fit either way

i was thinking of purchasing an TSP MP-8. i'm not up to speed with programmers and chips as much as some of you guy's(guru's).
are they of good quality? will it reduce the engines reliability? i have read that it was a "pressure box". what does that mean? the one feature i do like is the "on the fly" adjustability. thanks for the education

yes it is a pressure box, it raises the injection pressure. i have one, and i like it a lot, you can feel a seat of the pants difference.

it is however strong enough to crack injectors, i havent had any probems with mine, but i have bigger injectors

Smarty all the way!!! And now you can adjust RP with the new REVO, and REVO TNT!!!

You can almost custom tailor your RP, Timing, and shift firmness with the new software!
