Problems with HTT turbo install

I've installed my turbo (see sig.) and the stock elbow has set pins in it. I called HTT and they said that I need to get their downpipe. Then Lary from DTR called and they said that I don't need a down pipe and that the turbo should connect to the stock elbow. OK! Do I shave off the set pins and use the stock elbow? I have actually been thinking of using a aftermarket turbo-back exhaust like Silverline or MBPR. Will these aftermarket systems bolt up with the HTT turbo?

Aftermarket will bolt right up. I had no problems hooking my turbo up.

shave off the set pins. Who did you talk to at HTT? Either way you do it, the after market systems still hook to that cast elbow. So regardless, you have to install it.

Ok, so I have to use the stock elbow for the stock or aftermarket exhaust? Well I went ahead and ordered a Silverline exhaust anyway. Wanted a full mandrel bent system. Thanks guys, ya'll rock.

I called them as well as did one of my Distributors they told us BOTH that you were to loosen all the hangers on the exhaust system and slide it forward it would bolt direct to the turbo.

I didn't really understand what Dave was trying to tell me about the elbow until after we spoke the last time. How the heck does HTT expect the exhaust to hook up to the Turbo without an elbow? or a custom downpipe ?
