If I wanted to go to a 5" lift I go with a real suspension, Kore, Carli, Lorenz, Thuren,etc and a 2" body lift without hesitation... The advantage of a body lift is that it doesn't screw up the mechanical handling of the trucks suspension....death wobble, fricked control arms etc. and it gives you a little more room to work around the engine bay....Relocating intercooler hoses and wires and grounds....give me a break.....legos and etch a sketch stuff.

That said....I'd rather lower my truck 3 inches run 3.55's and 31inch drag tires. But hey each his own....No flaming is deserved in this thread....each to his own. ks

i would like to see some pictures of that thing with 9" of lift, i passed a truck with 4" and a three body and he was clearing 38" tires easily

body lift

There is nothing wrong with a body lift, it is cheap lift that doesn't cause any unwanted drivetrain stress and vibration. My buddy put one on has 99 CTD and all we did was relocated the boost tubes and cut the bottom of the fan shroud. But let me point out there wasn't one made for the diesel. Unless you own a chevy, in which you can see all the frame, do it.

THE TRUCK IS FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the green wire on the alternator popped out and we didnt see it because of the plastic covering, took a few hours to find but now everything is perfect, pics comin as soon as i can find my camera!
