Thumbs down Problems after my body lift

Im having a lot of problems with the grounds and obviously a problem with the extensions they put on. The truck is operating fine mechanically but im driving and all of a sudden my check gauges goes on and its because my voltmeter is saying its not running at 14.4 or whatever its supposed to be its more like 10, then it kicks off, yesterday i was driving home and the radio started goin on and off and THEN the abs light and middle brake light went on . I've taken it back to the place that did it 2 times already and i dont want the truck sitting there all the time, i need my truck. Can anyone tel me where these grounds are so i can maybe do this myself?

I'm not trying to bash you, but why in the world would you ever put a body lift on a diesel? Or any truck.

Yep.
No body lifts on diesels. Nothing but problems afterwards, and why they dont make a kit for diesels.(Im assuming you used a 1500/2500 gasser kit)

Suspension lift should be plenty to fit almost any tire...

Not trying to bash, but Ive heard nothing but problems from body lifts on a diesel, from the intercooler boots/piping being too short afterward, to wires/harness being to short, needing to extend wires, etc...

Might just recheck all the wires that you either extended or thats attached to the frame/body to frame, make sure a wire hasnt been severed, and if you changed any ground points that it was clean and paint free for a good ground.
Not saying you dont know what youre doing, just tossing out some things to check just in case, could be something simple as a loose wire...

Check it out! They make them for Diesels! I have a 3 inch on mine and I did have a few problems but nothing major.

they used to not make them because of the intercooler relocatation. thats the only difference. i've seen/heard of plenty that came out fine.
not my preferred method, but its totally doable

Not bashing here, I just don't understand.

What is the benefit of a body lift? Cost? Certainly not ease of installation.

When it's so cheap to do a suspension lift (whether with D25's or pucks), why go through the hassle of lifting the body?

Someone please enlighten me...

They didnt before, must have started making them recently.
I just dont see why youd want a body lift when you can fit 37s with 2" springs/spacers, and easily larger with just a 4.5"/6" lift....

i already have a 6 " BDS suspension i needed more clearence. 9" of lift was what i wanted, you lift a 03+ dodge 2500-3500 more that 6" with a suspension you'll have major problems with your front end. I've seen people with custom lifts over 6-7" and they have nothing but problems with these trucks

I dont know about 37's, mine look pretty tight with 35's?
I do agree that body lifts arnt the way to go, thats a rednecks cheap fix. You say that people who go over 6" of suspension lift have nothing but problems, but it looks like thats what you have.

It may take a little looking to find the grounds. PA body lifts are the best and I've done several of them, just not on a 3rd gen. I ALWAYS missed a ground or two usually off the firewall between the cab and engine. They kind of pop loose and fall down and you can't see them. You'll love your setup once you get the bugs worked out. That thing has to be monster with 9" of lift.
