Problem after installing Smarty??? Help Please!!!
So, I got my Smarty last night, plugged her in on level 7, and turned my TST off to 0-0, and left my EZ on Level 2. Ran great and I was impressed with the power. Ran great this morning as well, then at lunch I loaded up #9. Noticed first lots o' smoke and good power. Left work, and noticed that truck surging under WOT so I figured I was draining the rail. I dont have a RP gauge, so it was just a guess. Problem seemed to get worse. Loaded #8 and same problem and then back to #7 and same problem. As you get in to the throttle and turbo lites the truck starts surging in and out and my egts top out at 900 and boost will not exceded 28lbs. This morning on #7 I was seeing 1100 and 42lbs. So,,,, what do yall think, fuel filter, FCA, Blown Rail Relief, walbro on way out , any thing else to consider???
I think in the morning I ll change the filter and maybe load back the stock ECM and see if I can start ruling things out. Thanks for the help!!!

Any CEL's??
First start with connections regarding the TST and EZ. After that remove the SMARTY and drive around and see if that helps....Then check FF and psi if you can...

No CEL's and I removed the TST with the bypass plugs, so I will check the filter and remove Smarty in the morning. I hate to take the Smarty off to check for problems cause that thing was awesome this morning!!

It's most likely not mechanical but a conflict between the Smarty and the other power makers. Start simple, either go back to stock and add the others back on or, and this is usually the preferred method, remove the others and start with the Smarty. I'm thinking too much timing usually causes the surge.

Yep try the bypass first on the tst. I assume since you said you dont have RP gauge that the tst is not the ra-49? I mentioned that becouse several times mine would self adjust the timing all the way up.
