Wonder why? Is he actually having EGT issues with the current setup?

Come to think about it, I think Shane's problem is more being addicted to upgrading than it is EGT issues.

800hp twins- MPI $5,000-6,000
ARP studs -$ 450-950
O-ring-Not sure/ 2k seems a bit steep...all depends on what they do to the head. Be sure the milling ace for the o-ring.

I think thats why, and b/c Nathan told him spool-up was barely any difference (like a 100rpm) just more air flow

I will just stick with the head gasket and studs... Thanks guys

I Drive the truck daily and tow my rock buggy a lot, occationally take it to the strip(rowing gears ha), Dyno, and want to pull a sled some for sure but I have not yet. I know you are supposed to build a truck for one thing, but I like too many so...

I also thought about just running a 66 single for a while. With the manual I'm not worried about the 66 being laggy... Any suggestions? Will I run into drive pressure issues with the single?

After this round of mods the next will be springs,cam... It will never end and I always want more.

Thanks everyone.
Nick

i just went from a htt 62/65/14 to a 66/71/14 and love i cant tell the differance in spool at all but the top end is much stronger but egts are still hard to keep under control with my setup. but i like the way the big single hits.

Hey, I live here in Vegas too. I thought you couldn't run coolant at the track, just water, that's why I haven't taken out my frankenstein truck and tried to break it! Have you dynoed here local? My numbers came from Diesel Specialists just south of Craig Rd and a little east of I-15.

No I just moved here about a month ago. I know some other guys going to the track fri and they want to see my truck run. It had not ever been down the 1/4... They all have ford 7.3 and 6.0's. I met the guy from diesel specialist, didnt know they had a dyno though. I have not herd anything about coolant there, its called Mignight Madness on the weekends to keep people from street racing from what I understand. So I am going and try to run, don't think it will be a prob. Roll with us if you want. PM me and i will send you my cell if interested.
