What are the differences between daylighter, slimlite, rally 800??? I would definetly want an 8" and want some long range stuff. I see you can get like a 100watt/200k candlepower or 150watt/385k candlepower??

Now, PIAA 520 is also good stuff but only 85watt

which do you recommend? Which one will be the clearest and which one can I see the farthest with, is what I care about. 85W piaa's v.s. 150W KC's I think would make a world of difference. I also saw some wanna-be KC lights that are 100 watt and say 200k candlepower with some amber angel eyes around the lens at walmart for $20 a piece on sale. They look something like this, not bad IMO actually:

I recommend the Rally 800 series light. They are 8" with plenty of power and made to take the abuse. The slimlites are only 6" so I won't even consider them. The PIAA are too small also, I think they are like 5-3/4" lights.

$690 for the light bar and 2 pair of Rally 800s is a good price. I can't find those lights anywhere for under $250 per set, not even on ebay.

If you like Hella like I do, I'd get the 8-3/4" Rallye 4000. They are about $269 per set, including wire harness, switch, relay, etc. But they're a b!tchin' light.
I can't afford either right now so I went with Hella FF1000s.

Mega,

What made it such a pain? Reaching the bolts in the back? Would a 2nd set of hands make it easier?

PT,
Yes two bolts on each side are "Somewhat" hard to get to....
if you have big hands and fingers it will be a real Pain....
Also, one of the front bolts, lower outside is hard to get a hold of due to the "Plastic" front bumper. I did it by myself, I shoved a bunch of screwdrivers though the holes to line it up while I put the other bolts in.... Made it go quick... I am going to have a friend run all the wire and place the toggles should be all done next week.
Also.... Yup the slims are small, but for a hunting road or camp road they are fine up here, no open spaces like the Baja....
Plus the $$$$ of the bigger lights drove the price up to quick for me!
Time to go take some pic's

so the PIAA's are just small and dont produce enough light? and RALLY 800 is the big one and produces better light and greater distance than the slimlite and hilites?
