At your power level, with those tires & clutch - you should be leaving in 3rd.

Yep, NV4500 5 speed. I need to practice my launching, I think my truck has some 1.9's in it with more pre-launch rpm, I was only revving to 2400 rpm or so.

I just turned 1,000 miles on my 3250 DD and tried a boosted launch once and it was quite a challange. I tried 2nd gear and it didnt leave that hard and felt slow. I left at 20 psi but the rpms were pretty low. Do I need to be at a higher rpm but the same boost in order to launch well? I'm thinking about getting an electric line lock. Will that diss-engauge quick enough for a good reaction time?

It would be cool if someone could post a "how to do a boosted launch" video and post it on youtube.

How low of a RPM are you talking about? If its too low the engine will fall flat on its face. You should leave the hole in the meat of your power, probably around 22-2600 for your application.

It should be pretty nasty, may even spin them in 4wd on dry road. Everything in the dash cubby will be launched into the back seat and some change spill out of the ashtray.
