Is there an aftermarket programmer that allows you to modify your ecm for better mileage at the cost of less power? I usually only tow a trailer and tractor a couple weekends a month and would trade power for mileage for the majority of my driving if I could change back and forth without too much trouble.
My main reason for owning a diesel is mileage and longevity. I had the magnum V-10 and couldn't stand the fuel bill any longer. I am pleased with the mileage I am getting now ( 14-16 town and 20-24 highway) but always striving for more.

The economy/weather mode setting on my SP Eliminator seems to do just that.....it defuels downlow, which also helps to keep the tires from spinning on wet payment, and increases timing on top.
I personally like the combo, especially when it is wet outside, a little decrease in power down low, with an extra punch on top. Now if I could only keep it on that setting....the **** keeps makeing its way to max power for some reason
