Thanks for making this thread. Getting ready to change my oil and was deciding between Amsoil, Mobil 1 Diesel truck, Royal Purple, Valvoline Prem Blue or ?? but want to change to synthetic so this is helpful in making my choice.

I have torn down alot of motors, trannys, and diffs. The components running Amsoil have had the least wear hands down.

So guess what I run from my race trucks to the lawn mower... AMSOIL

I run amsoil fluids in everything right down to the grease in the wheel bearings and u-joints but like Delo 400 in my engine. I've never had my oil analysed but seen reports on BITOG website and heard from others that Delo always gets excellent results there. Was going to switch the engine over to amsoil but I'm thinking if Delo is so great then why do different? So I'm sticking with the Delo...

Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5W40 synthetic in the winter and 15w40 conventional in the summer. Amsoil is overpriced and underperformed according to oil analysis.......ANALYSIS OF LUBE OIL – PART TWO

Delo 400.

After 125,000 miles and oil changes at 10,000 miles, It still have never used a quart between changes and the oil is only brown (not black) when changed. This engine is on course for a very long life.

Was running Rotella but switched over to Premium Blue. Why? I dunno. Have been recommended either Amsoil or Premium Blue, so I got what I could buy local last time I changed it. May try Amsoil someday...

Was running regular Rotella T 15w40. Switched 3 oil changes ago to Rotella Synthetic 5w40 to stick with the CI-4+. I notice the cold starts have improved too.
