I went with manual-electrics. Personally, I think they are easier to run, and specifically, you can switch the gague between multiple sensors.

Try to stay with sensors that have more than one wire. The one wire types use the engine or chassis ground for the voltage return path and can be subject to more errors in readings.

I used the Autometer NV series, that have 2 wire temp tranducer and 3 wire pressure transducers. The difference between a sensor and tranducer: Accuracy. A transducer will be MUCH more accurate. Technically, the singals used on the pressure tranducer: 5V reference, pressure signal, 5v return to the gauge. On the temp transducer: 5V reference and temp signal.

HTH

I voted for both, my boost and pyro are analog but both of my fuel pressure guages are digital. I bought them because they are small, about the size of the door lock remote and could be placed anywhere easily.

I'm going to purchase analog. While the digital seems more state of the art and functional, analog still seems to be the easiest to glance at and know if you are in trouble.

Digital would give a more precise reading if thats what is needed. It seems that for watching a trend the analog dial would be easier to monitor.

Also, "old eyes" see the dial pointers, especially in bright sunlight, better than led's.

I prefer the look of analog gauges but I went with a Commander monitor because of it added benefits.

Love my $PA's. Pricey, but they work well. Nice to have a programmable idiot light and peak recalls.

Nickleinonen - I chose autometer ultralites too for their appearance, price & reliability. I made an aluminum dash mount for pyro, boost, oil pressure and oil temp; and fabbed an aluminum cowl mount for the mechanical fuel pressure gauge (I was too cheap to buy an isolator!) - check out my pics!

I think that a triple guage pillar LOOKS better, but I still prefer digital guages (I've had an X-monitor, Edge Attitude, and now soon a Commander). I like the warning features, as well as the MAX readings (or MIN) that get stored. Plus the Commander adds a whole slew of extra features.

I prefer to look at analog guages. But for the size of this dash, they sure don't leave you much room to mount them without getting ugly.

I went with the Commander.... I had to wait a while for it, but it seems to have been worth it. All the information I need in a fairly compact spot, and it can be set to scream at me if I'm not paying enough attention and things get out of hand and if I've got the radio up too loud and don't hear it, it will defuel for me.

I am hoping we can help close that Digital to Analog ratio!

We have another digital option that will be out for you guys that do not want anything too fancy, but need the function.

Should be out sometime the first week in August.

Before you ask, it is totally different than the Commander, with a totally different mindset. More info should be on the Web this week, or first of next week. If you look close there is a little hint of it on there now, but not enough to draw any conclusions!

IMO its hard to beat the x-monitor, you get to keep the grab handle and with the pod painted it looks factory. I also have the fuel pressure add-on and it works great.
