po602 means your ecm is shot

po602 on my 2003 ram 2500 4x4. the dealer says i need a new ecm. The ECM shop in FL says the microprocessor is burnt out, either way it needs to be replaced in order to clear the DTC code to pass smog in CA.

YEP, according to the diagnostic chart for p0602 if flashing the computer does not correct the mil then the PCM must be replaced.

po602 should be called the death code for the ecm

I had my ecm reflashed and it didn't revive it. lol. i'm in the process of getting it rebuilt for about 895$

I don't have the codes in front of me but I think I got 0602 when my apps went and the new apps fixed it. Isn't 0602 - loss of program in the ecm? Craig
