Please tell me my SRT-10 pod isn't broke,,,look here

I had my kid pick it up at the dealer today. I opened the package and noticed something that looked like a break to me. I haven't had a chance to pull mine off yet, so I don't know for sure. Is there something broke off from there. It's the upper hole. Is there supposed to be a prong sticking out like the one on the right. Hope you guy's can see what I mean in the pic. Thank's

Only one way to find out I guess. I doubt it's broken though.

My original reply to this post was going to be "it looks broke to me"

Well, I went and dug up my original OEM pillar mount; the one that was in there before the srt10 pillar I now have.

Well anyhow, the original has the same "break out" mark in the same place.
I think it is where they break it away from the mold.

So, I dont think you have anything to worry about, just a manufacturing mark.

You'd be suprised, sometimes they have fitment issues and can't modify the mold. They may clip off the tip of that stand off to make sure it fits tight.
(OR) They have face to face molds that share that same post and they snap it off when it gets pulled out.
It looks "stressed" like it has been snapped or broken off.
? Never know till you slap it in there.

Not to worry, mine is exactly the same way. That is a runner left behind from the pressure injection molding process. It does not affect function or appearance.

Ya, I got it installed and nothing was broke. Too bad I ran out of daylight and it started raining. Couldn't finish the job. I got 3 in the cubby hole and 1 on the pillar.
