Plastic Intercooler Finally Blew
well my stock, junk, plastic intercooler finally blew and i am in need of a new or used one. so my question is....should i look for a used metal stocker or an aftermarket one? i really don't have the money for an aftermarket one, but don't want the truck sitting for weeks on end waiting for a stocker to show up in the classifieds. any suggestions? at my power level would i even benefit from an aftermarket piece?
thanks
jason

This may sound a bit crazy,go to your local dealer speak real nice to s m and ask what they can do for you as far as warranty go"s.He might over look mods.If he"s got a heart and with the issue the plastic tanks have you never know might just get a new all alum one(just a thought you made good power with plastic ,the stock alum will be even better) you got nothing to lose!!!!!!!!! 1200 0r 1500 $ for after market for little gain in performance or 100 degrees cooler just dont seem worth the $ (Mines also plastic so im sure i"ll be next)

When i went to my local dealer and asked him about the metal sided cooler versus the plastic i brought up the tsb that i think is out there and he said if mine blew to come in and he would toss me a metal one for around 600 bones. They know theres a problem with the plastic make a civil argument about it and see where that takes you.
