I just recently added the MTX Thunderform amplified box to my stock Infinity system , and couldn`t be happier.
Ended up paying $420 to my door for it ,and it took less than an hour to intall it , and that included unpacking it , and removing the fold flat bottoms
and interior trim to run the wires.
It has 2 10s and an amp mounted inside the box , a built-in crossover , and a remote bass **** that lets you control the amt. you like from the drivers seat.
...and it looks stock , and can easily be removed and put back to stock.
You do however , loose the inside storage , but I bought a small lockable heavy duty black storage container from Sams for under $25 and put it in the bed , to hold the few items I had inside the truck....yes I guess someone could steal it , but it`s under my bed cover out of sight , probably the same chances of the truck being broken into.

Do you have any more info on the MTX Thunderstorm setup? The subs came in a pre-made enclosure?

Yep , everything was included.
I`m guessing they have a website MTX.com(?)
..and yes they are MTX subs.
Don`t get me wrong , if you`re looking for earth pounding , glass shatering boom , this isn`t for you...but it does put out great all around bass.

I' m already running Kenwood speakers and a Kenwood Headunit, i 'm looking for a little more punch now.
Is your system really "bassey" or is the sound real clear? I believe in clarity before bass, if I can't understand what im listening to whats the point right?

Yeah i just want something that can shake the inside a little bit and give a little more kick, I noticed that the MTX setup is rated to 450w so if I went with an 800 w amp I should get some pretty good sound out of the subs. and also I don't know if I have the seven speaker or the 4 speaker factory system but was wondering about the tweeters in the dash.

Best bang for you buck....
http://www.foxacoustics.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=23
you can get 10's or 12's in sealed or vented configs and these are the most efficient boxes on the market with the largest airspace availble.

"crutchfield" also sells the mtx box loaded with 10" speakers and amp. kinda pricey.
the local stereo shop here had everything to install. i have 12" subs with the remote bass gain up front

So all you had to do was drop in the enclosure and wire it up?

No , it`s not "bassey" , at all. One of the cool things about it is the remote bass **** , because you can fine tune it , or turn it up/down from the drivers seat.
...and yes , Crutchfield wants a LOT more than what I paid for mine....like $650 or something , for that amt. I would have done a custom enclosure.
