Place to send injectors for testing.....
I got a core set of injectors to send out and have new tips installed so I can swap them out quickly without a week downtime. But i was told that one injector was for sure bad, that it flowed 119%. I assume it means it leaks and never seals up or stops flowing correctly due to an electrical solonid problem inside the injector. I wanted to get them checked before I send out for modification and possibly check my stockers when I pull them out. Can they be sent to cummins for inspection? Anywhere else? Any idea of cost? I know DonM does it for existing customers only. I am leaning toward the Flux2's from him but I have heard some complaints on the smoke they make/haze. I was told to go with a "Flux 1.5" if I didn't want any smoke. I assume it is between the Flux 1's and the Fulx 2's for power.

I'd send them to F1 Diesel and have a set of their nozzles installed at the same time. Not sure which size would be the best, though. My truck is relatively stock so I'll be going with a set of Flux 1's.

Call Industrial Injection or DDP both are bosh certified and can test and rebuild them to some extent if at all possible. I think the 119% thing is return flow to the tank which is a sure sign of it bypassing and becoming bad i believe where did you come up with this figure or was this another off the wall spec. from a goofy dodge who hates diesel enthusiasts.

Dealership was full of it in my opinion the only real test they can do is an injector/cylinder cut out test by killing one injector at a time and the one (s)that doesnt change the way the truck is ideling or the one(S) that idles different from the rest are then ones that are bad. Unless Dodge pulled then injector and sent it in and then put it on a flow machine they wouldnt know what it was flowing when and where just my .02 i could be wrong though. Call Industrial Injection and talk to Brett or Cody, Brady is always very busy. Or call Lenny at Dynomite Diesel.

rc engineering does a lot of import stuff, i'd guess they'll do ours. $24/injector to test and clean IIRC

Yes but if you send them to Don he must modify them or else he wont look at them. II or DDP will repair stock or tect stock injectors and return them stock if wanted or modify them to your needs.

Yes, if you just want them repaired or tested we are typically too busy to do so. This is because we are trying to maximize our time toward building performance parts and hoping to shorten the wait for people.
We are the only company ( that I know of ) that wont ask you to purchase new injectors when we do the performance modifications if you have bad ones. No matter what the reason, we can repair them. This saves big money over new. With the average price ranging around 400 per injector we can do it typically for 1/4 that cost.
If you are not in a hurry, perhaps we could fit you into the schedule for testing and repair?

Well Don that would be great. I am leaning toward your Flux2's but from what a few on here say they smoke a little much for me. I asked Tim in Virgina what to go with and he said a 1.5, I didn't know you had one of those. But I'll send them down for testing and modifying. Please PM me if possible, there is question I have for you.
