A-pillar install

Getting ready to add a tranny temp gauge and mount it on the a-pillar. What am I supposed to do about the grab handle? Somebody told me awhile ago that the only way is to cut the handle off. Hince the reason I mounted on the steering column, but I really need the tranny temp gauge and I think the a-pillar looks the best. Can anyone help plz?

If you are installing just the one gauge you could use the SRT-10 single gauge pod A-pillar replacement which has the grab handle.

Then bye bye grab handle! There's not enough room to get three guages in there and keep it..

you dont have to cut it off, just take it off. the old A-pillars had you cut it off. but now they make complete replacments for it, only about $50

It depends on which pod you get. Some of them are nothing more than a cover. With those, you have to cut the handle off and then put the cover/pods on.

However, there is one available that is a REPLACEMENT and it is made of the same materials and by the same manufacturer as the folks who made the grab handle. It is also molded in the correct color. You can get it HERE or at Diesel Manor. It is available for 2 gauges or 3 gauges....or if you just have 1 gauge you can get the SRT pillar and keep the grab handle.

Ther is also a kit to put 3 gauges above the mirror. I think you can get up to 4, I bought it and it looks great, no digital camera though.

If you installing just the one gauge, we have a single gauge mount with the color molded in that mounts just below the grab handle.

cantfindaname,

DO NOT cut up your stock A pillar, the one HOSS mentioned replaces the stock one and bolts right on, they are available in 2 or 3 gauge designs and are molded out of the same material as the stock one from the same material supplier, they look great! Call us if you have any questions etc.
