OK, I am kinda diggin that AR Thug. Here are the options.

1) 17 x 8.5, +15mm offset/5.375 BS

2) 18 x 9, +6mm offset/5.25 BS.

I want to run a 35 x 12.50 tire...probably a Cooper STT???? Always liked them. I also want to run a leveling kit to achieve this....you guys think it is possible?

KMC XD series wheels have a few options in the 5.7" backspacing range. I have the XD Monsters 18x9 with 5.7" backspacing.

Here's another voice on the XD series. I've got the XD Hoss with a +18mm offset, which is 5.71" backspacing for the 17x9" wheel. Running 37x13.50's.

Not the best pics, but they are what they are...

Do you guys think option #1 will work?? I am really liking this wheel. I looked at Toyo AT's today and the 35" tire is 13" wide.....do ya'll think it will work?

I think with the leveling kit on, it will fit with no problems at all.

Thanks.

Took me awhile to realize you were talking to me .

The flares are Bushwacker Extend-a-fenders that a local shop installed through the dealer. They did a nice job on the paint and install.

The problem is they make my 305's look a little skinny. Guess it's time to start shopping for some 35's!!

I was thinking that even though the 5.375 BS is not exactly "optimal" that the 8.5" width will help. Especially since most 17" wheels are 9" wide, or better.

Then I get to the tire dealer and the Toyo AT's were a 13" wide tire instead of the normal 12.5" The MT's are 12.5" wide but then again they will add $200 bucks to the final cost.

So that is why I was up the air about this. More opinions please, or if someone had this setup that would be great.

If you want to spend money. Get Walker Evans wheels. You can get them in 6" backspacing. http://www.desertproven.com/html/wal...ns_wheels.html
