Pics of my truck after Thuren install...
#31
I heard through the grapevine that there was a sweet lookin' black megacab, on DTR, with some of my stuff on it..... Had to come take a peak as I answered emails and drank my morning coffee..
The height came out PERFECT Paul, and the install came out clean!
I thought I throw some info out there to clear some stuff up.
The springs that Paul has on this truck are custom made per each application. I order the springs with the rate/height I want from this company, and I had been doing it this way because there were no springs on the market providing the rate I wanted. I had had these springs ordered for Paul and they took about 2 months to get!!!! I was told 2 weeks!!! They are quality springs from Coilsprings.com , but they take much too long to receive. Not to mention I have another set I'm waiting on still which has been over 2 months also. When Pauls springs were in limbo I had over 1k in spring orders to them and each time I called to check in on my orders, I'd have to call in 3 times leaving a msg with a person, to get one call back 6 days after the first call .. Nice...
Anyway in my frustration, I started making some calls, as I can't run my business that way. I will still use them for the custom height stuff but having to tell the customer it will be 2 months for springs is horrible..
Since Sage Carli and I had started doing business quite a bit lately, and we have a VERY GOOD business relationship at that, I decided to talk to him about his coil spring rates which turned out to be within' 5% of what I run. Good enough for me!!!! I will be going through Sage now for coils and minipacks as they are a great high quality setup that I wouldn't change a bit. Sage sure does have that "bling factor" compared to my products..
I'd love some pics of your truck Paul to put on my site, if you can get some with the truck not in the concrete jungle!! lol!!!
usedtostrokeit, is that you John? If so I guess Sage's springs and packs work good with my shock valving? Shock valving is one thing Sage and I probably do different as we haven't discussed/compared valving yet. I do all my own valving research design, as that's one thing I've been doing for a LOOOOOONG time and I valve a lot of long-travel buggies by "word of mouth". Re-valving is a time killer so I don't push it all that much. It sounds like Sages and my shocks ride pretty similar so they are probably close.. Pic's from you too John? please.... pretty please??? lol!!
Thanks all....

Hey Don, nice to hear from you. I figured I would give you a break from my constant questions.
Anyway, everything came out great, the only think I would change is take one of the "spacers" out of the rear. The truck looks a little "hillbily caddilac" to me. As to pics, I will get some up real soon. I just got the front light bar on and got some hellas up there. Ill post them soon. And Im still working on the vids for you don, I promise. Like don says the springs from carli are nice. I definetely got the "bling factor" working for me now.

Nice!!!
Thank's for the pics Paul!!! Any updated opinions since you have some time on it now?
John, yeah, it would be really cool if you got some pictures also. If you came up with video I'd be SUPER stoked!!! How's your truck doin'?
I'm probably gonna' grab a few pic's out of this thread in the next couple weeks and update my site when I get a chance...
Thanks all!

The front, on the other hand, is cherry puss! The harder you beat on it the better it works. High speed handing is great, the feel is tight, and the ride is smooth. Bumps are soaked up, not bounced over, and I no longer feel like my teeth are going to be rattled right out of my mouth! I like it!
