Pics of my new Power Wagon rims w/ 285s

These wheels were definitely brand new. The tires still had the yellow stripe around them. Nice. The spokes are a little wider than the standard alloys and the rims stick out about .5" more too. I guess there's a little less backspacing too which would help if you wanted to run 315s on them. I'm very happy with the new look.....

You change your tires / wheels more than most people change their socks! They look really good though.

Dzilla, I like'em. I'm glad you decided to try them. Do you know if the PW sits the same as a 3/4 CTD? I mean does the front sit a little bit or am I just imagining that?

I had never noticed the difference between the PW wheels and the stock alloys either. They look good!

How do you like the 285's ride, handling etc. compared to the 315's?

It will chirp second gear now!

I don't have the rub anymore when I pull into my driveway and it seems to be able to make a tighter turn than with the 315s. I am happy.
RickD, I actually prefer the stock alloys like you have but these are really nice too. The 285s definitely make the truck look better than the 265s. I'd recommend the 285s for your truck.
The front does sit a bit lower since the tires are not as tall. Easier to get in and out.....
I always liked the 315s but I would look at it sometimes and think to my self that it really needed a lift. Not so with these tires....

D'Zilla, They look great, not too busy and they look like they are more for business than just show. 285 is about the biggest tire that looks good without the look of needing a lift. Narrower tire, little wider stance...who could ask for anything more. ks

The chrome H2s were nice but I hated cleaning them! These clean up much easier. They were still wet when I took those pictures....

I like 'em. Sometimes I wish I had a 3/4 instead of the dually. Hard to find a good looking rim for that without breaking the bank.

Really sharp.

Wheels are 17x8 with less backspacing than the standard alloy rims. I'd estimate .5" less.
Sherod, I really like the stock dually wheel covers. Just putting a little bigger tire makes them look much better. Don't go too big though or it looks kind of strange IMO.

Hell yeah, that's one nice Pick-em up Truck! Who makes the Bull Bar you have on the front, I think that is the best one I have seen so far. I recently bought a 2005 CD 4x4 Laramie, it is the nicest Truck I have ever owned, Formally a Chevy owner.
I am here in Iraq, on my second tour here, hope to be home in Feb. Missing my Truck,
And other things!
