Im interested to know how it goes also considering you are a lil higher then I am. You will need a boost fooler also. Even when I ran smarty with the wastgate setting "off" it would still set the over boost code, so pick a boost fooler up.

I think you saw another local guy from cheyenne dyno in FOCO that has a garrett stage3 with 50hp sticks and a helix2 cam and he did pretty well and spool up isnt that bad with his but he also has the "stage 2 mod" which is a
.89 E/H.

I think that if you added that flux 2's to flux 3.0's you would be fine with that turbo, the key will be getting enough fuel but smarty does fuel good which is in your favor.

What sucks is our altitude. It is the determining factor in how we build our trucks which you already know. Too much fuel can gag a truck up here and too much air can make for an interesting scenario also. But like previously state run with "OD" locked out if you have a problem then your rpm's will come up and it should reduce some surge you might experience,,,,i know that doesn't help you from a stop .....but...still.

Also run with torque management on one of the higher lvls like 3 or 4 and maybe bump rail to 2. Your tranny should be ok if your not a

I'm glad to see you going with more "air" first because as a lot of poeple on this forum would agree it is key to power with these engines a guy can never have enough air unlike fuel I just hope it spools ok for you.

You'll have to come over the hill sometime or I will

Yeah Ill let ya know how it does. I make it over the hill every now and again. And a new turbo was a must for me before more fuel. I can see dang near 1600 on my egt gauge which is something I am not comfortable with. This will be a turbo for me to grow into, which I dont mind.

get the fuel and save the money on the cam and the install cost

i figure with that altitude a cam would come in handy. but yes install is expensive but so is watching your fuel gauge drop from all the fuel being wasted trying to spool that thing.

Well that would be nice not having to look at the egt gauge anymore. I am really excited to get this thing in and see how it does.

true i lost alot when i stuck in my 200s but you need to have some fuel even if its 90s to help fire it off.
